Wearable Art Show 2013 | Amy MacInnis

As always, NSCAD's annual Wearable Art Show was a blast. Runawaythis years event at the Spatz Theatre combined the NSCAD Fashion students clothing lines, and the more exotic pieces you might expect from the WAS in two back-to-back shows. No surprise, there were about as many cameras in the house as people, and the end of the runway sounded rather like the red carpet at the Oscars.

I guess I am no exception. Although I didn't bother to photograph the whole thing this year, opting to enjoy the artworks as they past by without being separated by nine pieces of glass. With the exception of Amy MacInnis's collection X-Tension. But I am biased — Amy and I were in school together and she is a good friend of my partner, Liz, who happened to be modelling for her that evening.

Her pieces are displayed bellow. Send praise to @AmyMacInnes1 on Twitter.
